Summer Sharks


Rising Pre-K 4 - 6th $265

Make the most of your summer at JCDS Summer Camp! Our Summer Sharks camp is our recreational program. Campers will enjoy all the summer greats: daily swimming, games, gym time, field trips, special activities, and more! Everyone will have access to our on campus game room, arts & crafts area, and all that our incredible 18-acre campus has to offer. Daily lunch and a healthy snack is included for all campers. Campers will be divided into groups (cabins) by age. If you want to make the most of your summer, this program is for you!

Camp Out with Books

Rising Pre-K 4 - K $325
presented by Meghan Warford

Ready to take your literacy into the great outdoors? Campers will experience the fun of reading through exploring different authors, genres, and activities throughout the week. The group will read stories aloud, have discussions, make predictions, and create arts and crafts to go along with the stories. This program is appropriate for readers of all levels, and will help your campers get excited about all the fun and imagination reading has to offer! This camp will be led by JCDS Kindergarten Teacher, Meghan Warford.

Bricks and Sticks Stop Motion

Rising K - 2nd $425
presented by Lyndsey Gammon

Take your stop-motion movies to the next level! First, create a story with Stikbots, Legos, action figures, or all three! Then, watch your story come to life using special stop-motion software that allows you to add special effects and go beyond the typical software on a mobile device. Student-created films will be available on a password-protected website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. This program will be led by JCDS Early Learning Teacher, Lyndsey Gammon.

Cooking and Books

Rising K - 2nd $375

Ready to taste the stories and adventures you're reading about? Then come dive into the world of literacy and cooking! Campers will explore an author or story each day and then create a culinary masterpiece from the story. Stories are best shared with food, so why not have both? This program will be led by JCDS Spanish Specialist, Iliana Leonard.

Acro Dance

Rising 3rd - 6th $325
presented by Hannah Tucker

Come blend your dance and gymnastics skills in a fun, new dance camp! Campers will build strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance throughout the week. Tumbling, tricks, and more will keep your camper "on their toes" all week long. This program will be led by JCDS Dance Manager, Hannah Tucker.

Art Adventures


Rising 3rd - 6th $425
presented by Alli Flores

Ready to take a deeper exploration of the artistic world? Then Art Adventures is for you! Artists will explore a variety of in-depth projects, interact with local experts, and even put on their own art show. Campers will create poured acrylic artwork, shibori-dye an apron, and make a piece of functional ceramics on the potter's wheel. Campers will display their creative projects at an Art Show for parents on Friday, June 13th, at 4:30 p.m. This program follows a similar format to Camp Spotlight, where campers spend the duration of the day in this program. This program will be led by JCDS Art Specialist, Alli Flores and will be supplemented by local guest artists.

Amazing Race

Rising 3rd - 6th $325

Think you can compete in the Amazing race? Well this is your chance! Campers will have to solve riddles, and compete in a variety of team and individual challenged throughout the week to get to the finish line! Bring your global knowledge and come ready to have fun! This program will be led by JCDS PE Specialist, Doug Postell.

Chain Reaction Engineers

Rising 3rd - 6th $425
presented by Deb Landon

Ready to learn all about Rube Goldberg machines? In this hands-on camp, we will build a variety of complex contraptions to complete a simple task- such as ringing a bell- while learning the basic physics concepts of work, gravity, force and momentum. Campers will explore levers, wedges, wheels, axles, pulleys and inclined planes as we build our understanding of mechanical concepts. This program will be led by JCDS Science Specialist, Deb Landon.
